Students from 2nd. through 8th. grade make more than 100 pinwheels to "plant" in our school garden this weekThe garden is called "Mustang Gardens" and began as a memorial to a second grade student who was killed in a farm accident in our rural community. Students stripped the sod from the large lawn area in front of the school, planted a tree and placed benches, a fountain, and a path through the garden. They planted annuals and perennials that were donated by parents and patrons and community groups. The pinwheels were a colorful, peaceful addition to our community project!
